An exciting contract opportunity is now available for an experienced Accountant to join a well-regarded organisation on a 6-month contract. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this position offers the chance to gain exposure across a wide range of accounting and reporting functions in a dynamic environment.
The Role
This is a diverse and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in delivering timely and reliable financial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable, expense claims, and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and resolution of discrepancies
- Perform daily bank and general ledger reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of financial records
- Oversee finance and corporate service accounts, including purchase order creation, receipting, and related administration
- Support capital expenditure processes, including approvals, WIP tracking, and maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Assist with month-end and year-end activities, audits, tax compliance (BAS, FBT), and external reporting requirements
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards)
- Proficiency with major ERP systems (such as JDE, SAP, Oracle, or Pronto) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a team-oriented mindset
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
