As the company continues to expand, an opportunity has become available for an Accountant to join their high-performing finance team, based in Brisbane’s CBD.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers variety and exposure across both financial reporting and operational accounting. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day accounting functions while assisting with broader business reporting and compliance activities.
It’s an ideal role for someone seeking a hands-on position in a collaborative environment, where accuracy, teamwork, and process improvement are valued.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly reconciliations, journals, and management reports
- Assisting with BAS/GST returns, financial statements, and statutory compliance
- Supporting annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes
- Managing accounts payable and receivable functions across multiple entities
- Maintaining asset registers, insurance schedules, and loan facilities
- Providing accurate data and support for external audits and advisory reviews
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across systems and controls
- Assisting the finance team with ad hoc reporting and project-based work
About You
You’re a detail-oriented Accountant who enjoys variety in your work and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency. You have strong technical grounding and are motivated to keep developing your commercial and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or similar
- CPA/CA qualified or currently studying
- Solid knowledge of reconciliations, month-end processes, and compliance
- Strong Excel and systems capability (experience with cloud-based ERPs ideal)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
