Join a respected organisation in North Brisbane with a strong presence both locally and internationally. The business is currently entering a busy period and is seeking additional accounting support to ensure continuity across key financial processes. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative finance team that values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.
The Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the team on a 3-month contract. This hands-on position is ideal for a self starter with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive approach. You’ll provide essential support across both management and financial accounting, ensuring the continuity of key reporting and compliance processes during a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end reporting and assist with completion of financials
- Coordinate and contribute to the annual budgeting process
- Manage daily cashflow reporting and forecasting
- Oversee bank covenant reporting and ensure timely submission of financial information
- Liaise with and provide guidance to the shared services team based overseas
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with ad hoc finance projects as required
- Proven experience across both management and financial accounting
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business accounting functions
- Proficient in Xero and highly skilled in Excel (advanced formulas, reconciliations, data analysis)
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and adapt quickly in a small team environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
