Job Description:

  • Drive revenue accuracy and lead critical month-end responsibilities
  • Influence reporting quality and champion process improvements
  • Thrive in a growing organisation offering flexibility and development
  • The Organisation

This organisation supports a large national customer base and is continuing to expand its operations and service offering. With finance playing an increasingly important role in strengthening its foundations, the business is investing in better systems, clearer reporting and stronger financial capability.

As part of this growth, the finance team is seeking an Accountant who enjoys responsibility, accuracy and improving how information flows through the business.

    The Role

The Accountant will manage core month-end activities and take ownership of key revenue-related accounting processes. This role suits someone who enjoys working across multiple streams of information, tightening controls, and ensuring financial outcomes are delivered accurately and on time.

You’ll work closely with the broader finance function to support planning, reporting and operational needs, while also helping to lift the overall maturity of processes and data quality.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Owning revenue recognition, deferred revenue and prepaid income accounting
    • Managing month-end close, reconciliations, journals and data integrity
    • Preparing timely, accurate financial and management reporting
    • Maintaining ledger accuracy and supporting transactional processes when needed
    • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen controls
    • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting
    • Supporting continuous improvement across financial systems and reporting

    About You

You’re someone who takes pride in accuracy and consistency, and who enjoys bringing structure to complex or high-volume environments. You work well with detail, communicate clearly, and are confident taking ownership of core accounting cycles.

    You’ll bring:
    • Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CA highly regarded
    • A solid grounding in accounting principles and practical experience applying them
    • Confidence working through month-end tasks with consistency and structure
    • An ability to interpret numbers, spot inconsistencies and resolve issues promptly
    • Familiarity with revenue streams, balances and timing differences
    • Strong system literacy, with the ability to navigate and improve financial tools
    • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues across the business
    • A proactive approach — you like to tidy, streamline and organise, not just maintain

    On Offer
    • A role with broad hands-on involvement across key financial cycles
    • Opportunity to influence process improvement and reporting quality
    • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
    • A stable, growing organisation with room for capability development
