Permanent opportunity to join this growing, friendly team in an industry of choice. This is a permanent, full-time position based 5 days a week in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the Finance Manager, approximately half of your role will be to take responsibility for the end-to-end Payroll for circa 150 staff. The other half will be assisting with month-end reporting.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include, however may not be limited to:
- Weekly and monthly payroll for approx. 150 staff
- Prepare and lodge payroll taxes
- (PAYG) withholding tax and superannuation contributions
- Assist in the integration and implementation of new payroll systems/upgrades
- Deal with all payroll-related inquiries
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Assist with month-end processes including journals, accruals, and reporting.
- Assist with BAS, PAYG, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Ad hoc tasks as required
As part of the small, dynamic team your role will be varied, so you will have a flexible, open-minded attitude. You will (ideally) have prior experience running payroll or alternatively be open to learning. You will have the ability to work in a developing environment, implementing new processes and procedures as part of your role. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across a business at all levels.
