    Our client, a leader in the professional services industry, are looking to hire an Accounts Officer for a 3-month contract. This would be suitable for an immediately available Accounts Officer looking to join increase their knowledge and work with key stakeholders.

    The Role

    This  3 -month contract  will be suitable for an  immediately available  Accounts Officer, who will report directly to the Finance Manager. This role has the potential to be extended.

    Reporting to the Finance Manager your duties will include -

    • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and reconcile supplier and customer statements to ensure accuracy.
    • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including accruals and journal entries.
    • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and corporate credit cards.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
    • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
    • Prepare and process employee expense reimbursements.
    • Support the finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
    • Assist auditors by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
    • Perform general administrative and finance support duties as required.

    About You
    • 1-2 years' experience within a professional services / commercial business. 
    • High volume invoice processing experience
    • Experience with Trust Accounts / Trust monies (Desirable)
    • Intermediate experience with Excel
    • Eager to learn.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work autonomously. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
