    Our client, a leader in the professional services industry, are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Officer for a 3-month contract. This would be suitable for an immediately available Accounts Payable Officer looking to join increase their knowledge and work with key stakeholders.

    The Role

    This  3 -month contract  will be suitable for an  immediately available  Accounts Payable Officer, who will report directly to the Accounts Payable Team leader. This role has the potential to be extended.

    Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team leader your duties will include -

    • Process invoices by verifying, coding, and entering them into the accounting system.
    • Prepare and execute payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
    • Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and queries.
    • Maintain expense records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
    • Reconcile supplier statements and accounts payable ledgers on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial standards.
    • Update and maintain vendor records to ensure accuracy in the accounting system.
    • Generate AP reports such as aging reports and payment forecasts for management review.
    • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in the AP workflow.
    • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

    About You
    • 1-2 years' experience within a professional services / commercial business. 
    • High volume invoice processing experience
    • Experience with Trust Accounts / Trust monies (Desirable)
    • Intermediate experience with Excel
    • Eager to learn.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work autonomously. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
