The Role
They’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team in Brisbane. This is a pivotal role ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of payments across a variety of entities. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting EOM processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing batch payments in line with agreed terms
- Managing staff expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations
- Monitoring payables, ensuring accuracy of balances, and resolving discrepancies
- Reconciling bank accounts and supporting general AP/AR tasks
- Assisting with recharge invoicing, ledger coding, and month-end reporting deadlines
- Leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency
About You
You will bring several years’ experience in AP or a similar role, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable working with accounting systems (Xero, ProSpend, Light Year or similar) and highly proficient in Excel, you’re someone who thrives on improving processes and managing deadlines. A bookkeeping qualification is desirable, alongside a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team.
