An exciting opportunity is now available for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-regarded and supportive organisation. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this role offers the chance to work closely with the Senior Accountant to gain valuable experience across a broad range of accounting functions.
The Role
This is a diverse and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial support. You will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts receivable processes, including transaction processing, customer account reconciliation, and ensuring timely payments
- Overseeing expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations, along with purchase order management and finance account administration
- Performing general ledger and bank reconciliations, and supporting capital expenditure processes including WIP tracking and fixed asset register maintenance
- Assisting with month-end close activities, including standing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing for internal and external audits
- Supporting tax compliance and external reporting requirements, including BAS, FBT, and various financial surveys and submissions
You are highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset. With prior experience in a similar accounting support role, you are confident managing a range of financial processes and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.
