About the Role
This Business Analyst role is a unique opportunity to work exclusively in the data governance space, supporting a key initiative focused on APRA regulatory reporting. Rather than gathering generic business requirements, your focus will be to help define and document core data elements across the organisation. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to build meaningful glossaries and bring structure to areas of the business where data remains undefined or inconsistent. It’s a role where your ability to simplify the complex and communicate clearly will make all the difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs across the business to gather definitions, rules, and context for key data elements.
• Build and maintain data and business glossaries to support regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Translate ambiguous or undefined data into clear, business-aligned definitions.
• Align with the Data Governance team on frameworks, standards, and approach.
• Ensure consistent, accessible documentation of critical data to support APRA reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, including exposure to business/data glossaries and data definition work.
• Familiarity with APRA or other regulatory reporting frameworks within financial services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills—comfortable working with non-technical audiences.
• Analytical thinker with a knack for bringing clarity and structure to grey areas.
• Confident working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment without the need for technical coding skills.
