    Our client is a very well-regarded organisation, who offer a range of critical community support services, and work hard to make a difference in times of need. They require a dynamic and skilled Collections Officer to join their team for a temporary basis with the potential to go permanent, immediate start required.

    Reporting to the Collections Team leader, the Collections Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and contributing to the effective management of resources.

    The Role

    This  3-month contract  will be suitable for an  immediately available  or soon to be immediately available Collections Officer, who will report directly to the Collections Team Leader. This role has the potential to be extended or go permanent. 

    Duties include but are not limited to: 

    • Proactively manage a portfolio of overdue accounts
    • Contact customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding debts
    • Negotiate and implement payment plans in line with company policy
    • Maintain accurate records of communications and payment arrangements
    • Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues
    • Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation tasks
    • Escalate accounts where necessary in accordance with internal procedures


    About You

    Skills and Experience:
    • 1-2 years' experience within a commercial business. 
    • Experience using large systems.
    • CPA / CA qualified or studying - desirable.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work autonomously. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
