    Are you ready to take the reins in a complex, fast-paced environment? A major player in the heavy industry space is seeking an experienced senior finance professional to step into a critical role. With operations spanning multiple regions, this organisation is undergoing significant transformation and needs a confident reporting professional to ensure accuracy, compliance, and leadership during a period of change.

    • Salary: $80 - $90 per hour + Super
    • Contract: 6 months initially, opportunity to go permanent
    • Location: Brisbane 
    The role

    This position provides leadership across the corporate accounting and reporting functions during a period of change. You’ll be responsible for overseeing financial consolidation, managing a motivated team, and ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment across multiple entities.

    Key responsibilities
    • Lead, coach, and support a team of qualified accountants to deliver accurate and timely reporting
    • Oversee consolidation and reporting across a complex, international group structure
    • Take ownership of the external audit process, ensuring efficiency and cost control
    • Strengthen financial processes and controls, driving continuous improvement
    • Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making and performance management
    • Support business integration projects and ensure accurate balance sheet positions
    About you
    • Extensive group reporting experience across multi-entity or international environments
    • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of managing finance teams
    • Experience managing external audits and driving process enhancements
    • Commercially focused, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
    • Confident communicator with a collaborative and outcome-driven approach
    • Resilient, adaptable, and able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
