We’re recruiting a newly created Finance Manager, Projects role on behalf of a large, global business with a major presence in Australia. This opportunity sits within a complex services environment and is ideal for a qualified finance professional seeking a high-impact role with genuine progression pathways.
This position will play a central role in driving key improvement projects and initiatives across a diverse finance function. Working closely with stakeholders across Business Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis, Systems, and Accounting, the role is focused on improving financial systems, processes, planning, analytics, and management reporting across core business functions.
This is a great role for a commercially minded professional who will engage and influence senior leaders, and in the future there will be opportunities to progress into specialist and leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to streamline and automate finance processes, including month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
- Strengthen planning capabilities by enhancing tools and processes.
- Drive consistency in how financial performance is reported and forecasted across complex portfolios.
- Improve financial control and governance frameworks, working with internal teams to streamline workflows and embed more efficient processes.
- Collaborate closely with senior finance, commercial, and operational leaders to shape and deliver broader finance transformation, ensuring initiatives are practical, embedded, and aligned with business priorities.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- CA/CPA qualifications and relevant experience in commercial finance, financial control, FP&A, or business partnering roles
- Strong systems/process thinking, with a hands-on approach to solving complex financial challenges
- Confidence in working across multiple stakeholder groups
- A background in large organisations, ideally with exposure to operational finance environments
This is a high-visibility role offering broad scope and the ability to influence positive change across a large-scale finance team. Long-term, the role is well-positioned for progression into senior SME or leadership opportunities within the business.
