About the Role:

This  3 –month contract  with the possibility to extend or go permanent will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Finance Officer, who will report directly to the Finance Manager

Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Reconcile daily bank transactions and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Prepare month-end adjustments including accruals, prepayments, and ledger reconciliations
• Maintain and update fixed asset records, processing depreciation and asset disposals
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and allocate costs across branches
• Manage stock reporting and process cost of goods sold entries
• Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of queries
• Ensure compliance with statutory payroll requirements including tax, superannuation, and other obligations
• Prepare monthly leave and payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
• Complete all month-end financial tasks within designated deadlines
• Support audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to requests
• Provide backup assistance to the finance team as needed
• Respond to finance-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support finance operations

• Tertiary qualifications, studying or studied CPA/CA.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Great attention to detail
• Good open and positive mindset. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software programs
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
