About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to step into an important role within our thriving commercial construction business, following the recent departure of a long-serving team member.
This part-time position offers full ownership of the accounts function, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep financial operations running smoothly. It’s a hands-on role which will require someone dedicated to making necessary process improvements while directly contributing to the company’s continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full AP/AR process, including trust accounts, subcontractor payments, and retentions
- Oversee payroll, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
- Provide financial support to project teams and other areas of the business
- Liaise with external accountants to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support with ad hoc financial tasks
- Proven experience in a hands-on finance or accounts role, ideally within construction or project-based industries
- Confident managing the full accounts function independently
- Familiarity with accounting/project software highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and communication skills
