The Company

Our client a leader within its industry is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to assist them with process improvements. Initially a 2-month contract with a possibility of extension. 
  
Reporting to the Team Leader the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end AP process of the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and contributing to the effective management of resources.


The Role

This  2-month contract  will be suitable for an  immediately available  or soon to be immediately available Accounts Payable Officer, who will report directly to the Team Leader. This role has the potential to be extended or go permanent. 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, sort, code, and match invoices.
• Enter and upload invoices into the system.
• Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, check runs, and post transactions.
• Reconciliation: Monitor accounts, reconcile transactions, and prepare analysis of accounts.
• Vendor Management: Correspond with vendors, resolve discrepancies, and assist with month-end closing.
• Support the month-end process.
• Assist the finance team with any other finance related requests and duties. 

• 1-2 years' experience within a commercial business. 
• Experience using Pronto or large systems.
• Intermediate experience with Excel
• Eager to learn.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
