The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-regarded and growing energy business on a 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in the finance team, supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, and business insights during a period of change and transformation.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management and financial reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., AASB/IFRS)
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors
• Assist with process improvements and systems enhancements

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• Prior experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in the energy sector would be preferred
• Available to commence at short notice (preferred)
