They are currently looking for a dynamic financial accountant to join their finance team in Melbourne (permanent/full time).
The role
Sitting in a high performing team and reporting into the CEO, the Financial Accountant role will include the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with year-end reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations for year end, including investigating variances
- Assisting with daily client claims (small - large organisations)
- Payroll journals
- Day to day assistance to the onsite administrative staff
- Month end processing, reconciling sales data and reporting
- Handling large and complex insurance claims
About you
The ideal candidate will have completed their CA or CPA qualification. You must have had previous experience working in an insurance company, with an excellent understanding of general ledger and balance sheet and be very knowledgeable on month end accounting. You will be self-motivated, have the ability to work autonomously and have a high attention to detail. Your positive attitude and problem-solving skills will help you secure this role. This role will involve being very 'hands on' with insurance claims which are often large and complex.
