Permanent opportunity to join this growing, friendly team in an industry of choice. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the CFO you will oversee all aspects of financial control, reporting, and compliance across the Group, including the corporate entity.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include, however may not be limited to:
- Consolidated financial statements
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including board and investor reporting
- Group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliation
- Compliance with audit, tax, and statutory reporting requirements
- Manage all financial operations for the corporate/head office entity, including budgeting & forecasting
- Overseeing the group’s AP and AR processes
- Group-wide cash flow forecasting
- Bank account management, intercompany funding arrangements, and foreign exchange risk.
- Oversee payroll processes and compliance across the group.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures across the group.
- Coordinate the annual audit processes, including the preparation of deliverables and addressing queries.
- Coordinate the annual income tax return, FBT and monthly BAS processes, including the preparation of deliverables and addressing queries.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory financial and taxation reporting obligations.
- Lead and mentor a team
- Process and system improvement projects
- Adhoc duties as required
As part of the small, dynamic team your role will be varied and hands-on, so you will have a flexible, open-minded attitude. You will be CA/CPA Qualified (or equivalent) with a number of years proven experience in a controllership position - including group consolidations.
You will have experience in a multi-entity organisation and strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations. You will have outstanding excel skills along with ERP exposure. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - allowing you to liaise effectively across all levels of the business.
