Currently undergoing a period of transition and growth, the finance function plays a critical role in driving commercial performance, and they are now seeking a Financial Controller to support this next phase.
This is a 6-month contract
with strong potential to convert to a permanent opportunity. Ideal for a finance professional available to commence at short notice.
About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you’ll lead a capable team and take ownership of core financial management functions—combining technical oversight with commercial business partnering.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Own the end-to-end financial control, reporting and compliance processes
- Lead month-end, year-end, audit and board reporting cycles
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Deliver timely and accurate financial and operational management reporting
- Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve cost management and operational efficiency
- Mentor and lead a small finance team
- Improve systems, processes, and financial governance
- Support broader finance transformation and strategic initiatives
About You
- CA-qualified, ideally trained within a Big 4 or mid-tier chartered environment
- Proven commercial finance experience in a large complex business or project driven environment
- Skilled at balancing technical rigor with commercial insight
- Confident working across detail and strategy, with strong communication and leadership presence
- Hands-on and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
