Backed by a dynamic leadership team and a culture of continuous improvement, they are now seeking a technically proficient and commercially focused Management Accountant to support their Melbourne-based operations on a long-term contract.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this is a broad and hands-on role where you will combine technical expertise with commercial insight to support key decision-making processes. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, supply chain, and production teams to drive financial performance and efficiency across the manufacturing function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support for budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational performance tracking
- Develop and maintain robust cost models and tools for production and inventory management
- Analyse P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow performance, identifying variances and recommending actionable insights
- Optimise financial systems to deliver meaningful, real-time data to internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing current processes and implementing efficiency-focused solutions
- Partner with manufacturing and operational teams to deliver accurate and timely financial insights
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and support broader finance team initiatives as required
The Ideal Candidate:
You are a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with strong experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment. You bring a blend of technical accounting expertise and commercial acumen, and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across finance, operations, and supply chain.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Solid understanding of standard costing, inventory control, and variance analysis
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset
