The Role
Reporting to a senior leader within the finance function, the Group Accountant will take ownership of end-to-end accounting across a portfolio of entities. This role blends technical financial control with commercial insight, business partnering and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver accurate month-end results, P&L reviews and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare management reporting packs with clear, meaningful commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and detailed variance analysis
- Manage GST, cashflow reconciliations and key financial schedules
- Partner with operational managers across multiple sites to explain performance
- Prepare quarterly/annual reports to stakeholders
- Oversee billing, fee recoveries and aged balances
- Assist with statutory reporting, audits and compliance requirements
- Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements and system optimisation
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
About You
You’re a proactive, detail-driven accountant who enjoys working across multiple entities and stakeholders. You bring strong technical capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to partner with both finance and non-finance teams.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar financial or management accounting role
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
- Strong experience across multi-entity accounting
- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confident communication skills, able to present financial results clearly
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with large ERP or reporting tools (Business Central, BI tools or similar desirable)
