Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created role will sharpen the organisation’s commercial discipline and strengthen financial management across multiple business units. This is not a pure FP&A role — your core mandate is financial management, reporting accuracy, commercial partnering, and enabling strong operational decision-making.
The business has a dedicated analytics function responsible for dashboards and non-financial data; you’ll work closely with them but retain ownership of the financial engine room.

- Own the delivery of accurate monthly results, forecasts, and budgets across the Group.
- Strengthen financial governance, reporting frameworks, and performance visibility for senior leaders.
- Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making across multi-site operations.
- Collaborate with the analytics team to ensure cohesive financial + non-financial performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, controls, and data integrity.
- Build capability, lift standards, and mentor a developing commercial finance team.
- Partner with the SLT to assess opportunities, manage risk, and support growth initiatives.
- CA/CPA qualified with deep experience in commercial finance leadership.
- Strong foundation in financial management, reporting discipline, and commercial partnering.
- Able to influence, challenge, and support operational leaders in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Sharp analytical mindset and comfort working closely with data specialists, even if analytics sits outside your remit.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments will be highly regarded.
- Confident leading people, uplifting capability, and embedding high standards.
This is a genuine leadership seat with visibility, impact, and a clear mandate. You’ll join a values-driven executive team, supported by a highly accomplished CFO, and play a central role in strengthening commercial performance across a major national organisation.
