Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all indirect tax returns (GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax).
- Organize and maintain supporting documentation for all tax filings.
- Lead and manage indirect tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
- Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes in tax laws.
- Oversee tax effect accounting and support global quarterly tax reporting.
- Manage multiple indirect tax entities/groups efficiently.
- Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax positions and reduce liabilities.
- Collaborate with local and international finance/legal teams to align tax planning with business goals.
- Identify and mitigate tax-related risks by strengthening internal controls.
- Continuously improve indirect tax procedures for enhanced compliance and efficiency.
About You
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Minimum 5 years of indirect tax experience across multiple jurisdictions (ideally Australia and New Zealand).
- Background in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm is highly regarded.
- Exposure to the FMCG or manufacturing sector preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
