  • CBD location with WFH flexibility
  • 6-9 month role with potential to extend/go permanent
  • Varied role and remit, work with experienced IA team.
  • Opportunity for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join this leading media organisation on an initial contract basis.

    Reporting into the Head of Internal Audit you will be responsible for:

    • Performing detailed evaluations and assessments of processes, systems, activities and functions.
    • Performing research and analysis, and reporting on the adequacy of controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations with a view to providing value added reports to line and executive management.
    • Drafting correspondence, submissions and reports to a high professional standard.
    • Championing continuous improvement of Group Audit methodology and tools, keeping up with emerging areas of risk and new auditing techniques including data analytics and technology.
    • Assisting the Senior Auditor in performing fraud investigations as required.
    • Assisting the Head Group Audit with quality assurance of Group Audit deliverables.
    • Working closely with the Head Group Audit in preparing reporting for the Audit and Risk Committee, including development of the annual Group Audit plan.
    • Liaising with management at all levels and members of the public and external stakeholders.

    To be considered for this role you will have:
    • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or professional qualifications.
    • Experience in a research, analytical and investigative environment, and/or in undertaking performance/operational reviews.
    • Proven ability to analyse information, form opinions and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes in specified timeframes.
    • Proven ability to take initiative and anticipate problems, explore alternatives and take initiative to implement appropriate action to achieve goals.
    • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey points clearly, concisely and quickly in a style appropriate to audience.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and to.foster productive stakeholder relationships at the most senior levels and with people from a range of diverse backgrounds
    • Proven ability to prioritise, deal with confidential and sensitive matters and exercise initiative and sound judgement.
    • Proven experience preparing reports coupled with the ability to effectively communicate conclusions and propose solutions to management in a timely and professional manner.
