Our client is a growing, market-leading services organisation with a national footprint and a finance team headquartered in North Brisbane. As the business continues to evolve and expand, a newly created opportunity is available for a Junior Accountant to support the Financial Controller and wider finance function during this exciting period of growth.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports and profit & loss analysis
• Preparing accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
• Calculating and posting accruals and general ledger adjustments
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting submissions
• Supporting internal and external audit processes through preparation of relevant documentation
• Participating in finance projects and process improvement initiatives
• Assisting with other accounting tasks as required by the finance leadership team

• Currently studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–2 years' experience in a commercial accounting, distribution, audit or business services environment
• A good understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory modules
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and eagerness to contribute to a high-performing finance team
• Excellent communication and time management skills
