The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant
to support the finance function with day-to-day transactional duties. This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute to a fast-paced construction environment while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours. You'll be responsible for assisting with accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, and general finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs
- Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Support month-end processes and reporting as required
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve invoice or payment queries
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
- Previous experience in a finance support role
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar)
- Prior experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential
