Permanent opportunity to join this small, friendly team in a payroll focussed role with additional accounts responsibilities. This is a permanent, full-time position based in the inner west of Sydney. Reporting to the Finance Manager, approximately half of your role will be to take responsibility for the end-to-end Payroll for circa 250 staff. The other half will be assisting with day-to-day accounts work.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include, however may not be limited to:
- Weekly payroll for approx. 250 staff
- Prepare and lodge payroll taxes
- (PAYG) withholding tax and superannuation contributions
- Assist in the integration and implementation of new payroll systems/upgrades
- Deal with all payroll-related inquiries
- Month-end reconciliations
- Ad hoc tasks as required
As part of the small, dynamic team your role will be varied so you will have a flexible, open-minded attitude. You will have prior experience as a Payroll Officer and have the ability to work in a developing environment, implementing new processes and procedures as part of your role. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across a business at all levels.
You will have a strong understanding of payroll legislation, have prior experience and ability translating EA's and excellent attention to detail.
