Perigon Group is working with a rapidly growing business to recruit for a Payroll Officer, a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Payroll.
The Role
This 3-month contract
with the possibility of extending / going permanent will be suitable for an immediately available
or soon to be immediately available Payroll Officer who will report directly to the Financial Controller.
- Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll using MYOB, ensuring accuracy across allowances and leave types, and full compliance with payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation, Workcover, Q Leave, and other statutory requirements.
- Support the Financial Controller in reviewing payroll procedures and assessing outsourced solutions; prepare month-end payroll reconciliations and reports for financial accuracy.
- Oversee onboarding, prepare employment documentation, and maintain staff records including asset registers, contact lists, and mobile phone administration.
- Maintain timekeeping systems, ensure accurate hours and approvals, and manage weekly labour hire timesheets and invoice reconciliation.
- Manage company toll, fuel, and vending accounts, loyalty rewards, and process submissions for apprentices and trainees.

- At least 1 year of experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Proven ability to manage payroll operations
- Experience in complex or highly regulated environments
- Proficient in Excel, including intermediate-level functions
