As they continue to expand, they are now looking for a Payroll Officer to join their experienced Brisbane-based team .
The Role
This 2 month contract with the possibility of going permanent or extending will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Payroll Officer looking for their next career move. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll operations. This includes end-to-end payroll processing, compliance management, and supporting payroll projects and system improvements. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the organisation’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting awards and ensuring accurate application of employee pay conditions.
- Managing and distributing payslips, weekly/monthly costing reports, and payroll data for managers.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory payroll obligations, reporting, and documentation.
- Processing monthly payroll and handling leave forms, terminations, EBAs and reconciliations.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Entering new employees and maintaining payroll records.
- Supporting Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
- Assisting with month-end close processes and credit/debit card reconciliations.
