This hands-on role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance, and providing responsive support for employee payroll queries. You will be key in maintaining accurate payroll data, reconciling accounts, and preparing payroll reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees using payroll software
- Manage superannuation, PAYG, leave entitlements, and other payroll-related processes
- Reconcile payroll accounts and generate reports for finance teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, taxation requirements, and company policies
- Handle employee payroll queries professionally and promptly
- Process new hires, terminations, back payments, bonuses, and commissions
- Maintain employee self-service portals or payroll systems
- Support additional payroll tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed
About You
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience
- Experience with Micropay
- Familiarity with time management systems
- Strong understanding of relevant payroll legislation and awards
- Detail-oriented with high regard for confidentiality and accuracy
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
