We’re currently seeking an experienced end-to-end Payroller to support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service across multiple sites throughout Victoria.
About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate payroll services. You’ll manage a broad range of payroll tasks, contribute to ongoing improvements, and provide front-line support to employees and leaders with payroll-related enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll across multiple locations
- Maintain accurate employee records and update payroll data (e.g., new starters, terminations, variations, leave)
- Interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and contracts
- Handle adjustments, back payments, overpayments, and terminations
- Reconcile general ledger payroll postings at month-end
- Respond to payroll enquiries through the internal service desk
- Assist with compliance requests, Centrelink forms, and data reporting (e.g., ABS surveys)
- Support the Payroll Manager with continuous improvement projects
You’re proactive, reliable, and capable of handling sensitive and time-critical information with professionalism. Your strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team will ensure your success in this role.
Skills and Experience
- Previous payroll experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Experience with interpreting healthcare/ aged care Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation including tax and superannuation
- Proficient in payroll systems (TechOne highly desirable)
- Familiarity with electronic timekeeping systems
- High level of accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
