A large, diversified mining services group with a strong reputation for operational excellence is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding finance team.

This is a six-month contract with strong potential to transition to permanent for the right person.

The Role 

This Senior Financial Accountant role offers the chance to step into a visible, commercial position within a large and growing mining services group. Based in Brisbane’s inner-north, you’ll partner with the Head of Finance and wider business to deliver accurate reporting, compliance, and meaningful insights, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Deliver month-end close and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and review transactional outputs
• Manage tax schedules including BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and FBT
• Support half-year and annual statutory reporting requirements
• Assist with internal and external audit reviews

About You

• Proven Financial Accountant experience in medium to large organisations
• Strong technical accounting and year-end reporting knowledge
• Flexible and team-oriented, willing to step in where needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Process improvement mindset with a proactive approach
