We’re partnering with a rapidly expanding professional services group that provides end-to-end business support to a growing client base. Their team delivers bookkeeping, payroll, BAS, and operational support to over 45 clients nationally, with continued growth expected over the next 12 months.
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to step into a senior, client-facing position - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and improving processes.
The Role
- Oversee and support a capable offshore bookkeeping team, ensuring accuracy across day-to-day accounting functions (AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, BAS, and superannuation)
- Onboard new clients, setting up systems and guiding them through the bookkeeping process
- Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing proactive support via phone, email, and video call
- Review and improve internal processes and procedures for better efficiency and consistency
- Troubleshoot queries from both clients and the offshore team, drawing on strong technical and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years’ bookkeeping experience
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practice
- Confident with Xero and intermediate–advanced Excel skills
- Payroll experience essential; familiarity with commission structures and awards highly regarded
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and liaising with remote teams
