The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a hands-on, visible role within the finance team, delivering accurate financial reporting, compliance, and commercial insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading month-end close and producing timely, accurate financial reports
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and transactional outputs
- Managing tax compliance schedules, including BAS, FBT, PAYG, and payroll tax
- Supporting statutory reporting, audits, and year-end processes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and driving process improvements
You are a technically strong, detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment. You bring a proactive, solution-focused approach, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and a strong understanding of accounting compliance.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting (CA/CPA or working towards)
- Multiple years experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant in medium to large organisations
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
