A long-standing and respected player in the manufacturing industry is seeking a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join their North Brisbane-based team. With operations tied to the resources and energy sector, this business continues to grow steadily, and they’re now looking for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Working closely with operational and executive leaders, you'll lead standard costing processes, sharpen inventory and WIP controls, and deliver financial reporting that drives real-world decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Own and improve standard costing models across materials, labour, and overheads
• Maintain tight control of inventory and WIP – ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with the general ledger
• Deliver performance analysis and actionable insights across finance, operations, and sales
• Prepare detailed budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reports
• Partner cross-functionally to uncover cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement across the finance function

• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• CPA or CA qualified (or currently studying)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment - strong grasp of standard costing, BOMs, and WIP
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor experience a bonus)
