An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a major infrastructure investment and operations business.
The company manages a portfolio of core public–private assets across Australia and continues to expand through new acquisitions and development projects. Working closely with the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across management accounting, revenue management, and project accounting, while supervising an Assistant Accountant.
You’ll play a key role through an upcoming systems transformation and partner with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Review and post monthly revenue calculations, unearned income, and accruals
- Oversee AR, billing, and credit management, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Partner with operations teams to validate project and operational expenditure
- Manage CAPEX and project accounting activities including variations and asset additions
- Support cost centre management and internal management fee calculations
- Prepare financial reports and assist with statutory reporting requirements
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and process automation
- CA/CPA qualified with 6+ years’ experience
- Strong background in management accounting and month-end processes
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communicator comfortable liaising across operational and project teams
- Experience in infrastructure, asset management, or project finance advantageous
- Advanced Excel capability and exposure to ERP implementation
- Work closely with senior leadership in a highly capable finance team
- Exposure to large-scale, complex assets and new investment projects
