This is not your typical People & Culture leadership role.
We're partnering with a highly regarded organisation with a genuinely positive culture, ambitious growth plans and a leadership team that is investing heavily in its future. As they continue to evolve, they're seeking a Senior Manager, People & Operations to play a critical role in shaping how the business operates, develops its people and embraces technology.
Reporting to the COO, you'll have the opportunity to influence both the people and operational agenda of the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving systems, developing leaders and turning ideas into action.
You'll be joining at an exciting time. The organisation has secured investment to modernise its technology environment and is looking for someone who can help guide the roadmap across people systems, operational processes, reporting capability and emerging technologies, including AI. You'll work closely with senior leaders to identify opportunities, drive implementation and ensure the business is equipped for future growth.
From a people perspective, you'll oversee the full employee lifecycle while bringing greater maturity to workforce planning, leadership development, performance frameworks and organisational capability. You'll partner with an experienced People & Culture Business Partner while also helping to mentor and develop the broader leadership team.
This is a role for someone who can comfortably move between strategy and execution. One day you might be presenting workforce insights or governance papers to a Board committee, and the next you'll be leading a systems implementation, reviewing operational processes or helping leaders navigate a complex employee relations matter.
What we're looking for:
- Senior leadership experience across People & Culture, Operations or a combination of both
- Strong experience implementing systems, driving operational improvements and leading change initiatives
- Confidence working across HRIS platforms, SharePoint, Office 365, reporting tools and digital transformation projects
- The ability to build meaningful relationships, influence stakeholders and bring people on a journey
- Experience preparing executive or Board-level reporting and governance papers
- Sound understanding of employment relations and workforce management practices
- A proactive, self-starting approach and genuine curiosity around continuous improvement
- Influence organisation-wide people and operational strategy
- Work directly alongside an impressive executive leadership team
- Lead meaningful technology and AI initiatives
- Shape workforce capability and leadership development programs
- Flexible hybrid environment with a potential 9-day fortnight
- Outstanding culture with strong tenure and engaged employees
- Significant scope to make your mark and grow with the organisation
