The Role
This 3 month Contract will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Senior Payroll Officer, who will report directly to the Payroll Team Leader. This role has the potential to be extended or go permanent.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and process end-to-end payroll over multiple entities for around 1800 employees across weekly & fortnightly pay cycles.
- Supervise and mentor Payroll Officers, acting as a subject matter expert on complex payroll matters.
- Ensure accurate recording and processing of timesheets, leave entitlements, and employee benefits.
- Interpret and apply awards and enterprise agreements (EA) to payroll calculations.
- Maintain compliance with tax, superannuation, and other payroll-related obligations.
- Provide insights and reporting on payroll costs, retention, transfers, and WorkCover.
- Assist HR and Finance teams with payroll queries and process enhancements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and support payroll system upgrades.
- Act as a payroll lead for company projects and system integrations.

- Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
