About the Role
This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded procurement professional who thrives on improving process, driving value and supporting business strategy. As Manager, Strategic Procurement, you'll lead category planning, support proactive pipeline development and guide the business on best practice sourcing, contracting and vendor management. With a new analyst joining the team, you'll also play a key role in translating data into decisions and lifting reporting maturity through tools like Power BI and streamlined contract registers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing, benchmarking and competitor analysis to inform decision-making
- Develop forward-looking category plans and sourcing pipelines that align to business strategy
- Support commercial governance and maintain accurate, accessible contract registers
- Identify and implement process improvements that shift procurement from reactive to planned
- Third-Party & ESG Risk Management – Implement supplier diversity initiatives, Modern Slavery compliance, sustainability targets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Governance & Compliance – Ensure procurement processes align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- 5+ years' experience in strategic procurement, sourcing or commercial advisory
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of category planning, process improvement and benchmarking techniques
- Skilled in engaging senior stakeholders and delivering proactive business partnering
- Comfortable working with analysts and interpreting procurement data (e.g. spend, contracts, vendor performance)
- Collaborative, detail-oriented and driven to build structure and strategy into everyday practices
