Job Description
Develop and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans for major capital projects to protect and promote reputation, identify issues and deliver advice to the project team.
- Develop, deliver and implement communication and engagement strategies to promote the brand, protect reputation, manage issues and deliver successful programs.
- Report on community engagement, issues status, and evaluate and report on internal communication deliverables and channels.
- Coach and develop contractor relationships and ensure they follow policies and guidelines.
- Research and implement best practice approaches and methods to communication and engagement that take into account new technologies, community beliefs, attitudes and preferences.
- Collect community and stakeholder information to identify their needs and activities, including collating data, analysis, focus groups and surveys. Respond to escalate complaints and enquiries and feedback from a variety of channels, and oversee complaint
response by partners. - Prepare written material including letters, newsletters, website, Sydney Water Talk updates, social media posts and presentations.
- 3-5 years experience in community or stakeholder engagement
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
- Progress towards IAP2 Certificate
- Strong team player with proven ability to achieve goals
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving, negotiation skills and crisis management
