Job Description

Our client is a high performing Financial Institution, the Payroll Analyst will work closely with the Payroll Manager to deliver the fortnightly payroll.

The Responsibilities; 
  • Performing day to day review and action of error reports and issue resolution with approval where required to ensure timely processing of pay
  • Update and/or create Standard Operating Procedures where applicable
  • Partner effectively with colleagues across HR and Finance to solve customer payroll enquiries and business requirements
  • Ensure preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions
  • Ensuring accurate payroll transactions and payments comply with relevant awards and legislation
  • Ensure timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summaries
  • Managing Superannuation Choice funds for employees
  • Managing leave entitlements and payments
  • Liaise with ATO on any issues
  • Assisting with month-end reporting
  • Employee record maintenance
  • Regular filing and archiving of payroll information
The Requirements:
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of payroll systems SAP is essential
  • Working knowledge of cloud HR systems
  • Previous experience working with outsource payroll vendor
  • Experience working in a payroll environment with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to investigate issues and find solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a broader team
  • Project delivery experience, implementing payroll system / process changes.
