An urgent opportunity has arisen with a well known health and fitness company for an experienced Payroll Manager to join the business on an interim basis.
You will be required to manage and process end to end fortnightly payroll including salaries, backpays, benefits, deductions and taxes. You will oversee all payroll changes and manage the preparation and submission of all tax obligations.
In addition you will interpret new legislation impacting payroll and ensure appropriate changes are made. You will also calculate and submit workers compensation and ensure payments are received.
Finally you will be responsible for assisting with the bedding down of a new Payroll system.
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3+ years experience working in a similar stand alone role. You will have demonstrated understanding of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls and Payroll taxes. You will have a comprehensive understanding of modern awards. You will also be familiar with HRIS and time tracking software .
