Our client is a reputable and dynamic financial services business in Sydney and due to domestic growth they are seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Analyst to join their team to support a diverse client base. 

This role will lead and provide operations support to Fund managers across a range of Portfolio administration duties. 

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

• Updating portfolio system relating to investment trades, settlements, corporate actions, income receipts and cash movements 
• Post trade compliance monitoring 
• Preparation of reconciled month end portfolios for accountants to complete unit pricing 
• Preparation of periodic reports to fund managers, their clients, and asset consultants 
• Build and maintain effective relationships with wholesale and retail clients 
• Liaison with custodians, fund managers and brokers 
• Regular reviews of Investment Operations processes and procedures with a view to implementing efficiency and accuracy improvements 
• Involved in Project work to improve service quality e.g. system implementations / upgrades / testing 
• Gross Asset Value (GAV) production and review 
• Play an active role in the on-boarding of new clients and ensuring the effective and timely implementation of client change requests 
• Peer review of data entry and allocated tasks 
• Train, mentor and coach junior members of the team 
• Investment types both domestic and international will include Equities, Futures, Options, FX, Currency forwards, Swaps, Fixed Income, and Managed Funds 

 Experience & Personal Attributes

• Registry experience in a custody, fund administrator or fund manager environment within a high volume, client focused working environment 
• Tertiary degree in relevant field such as Finance, Accounting or Commerce 
• Strong understanding of investment products, markets & securities 
• Strong understanding of fixed interest and derivatives product classes
