The Opportunity:

This leading, international law firm is looking for an experienced Team Leader to assist in supervising a team of 20-25 Administration Assistants. As a newly created role it will work closely, and under, the Central Services Team Lead to supervise and manage the everyday workflow and capacity of the team alongside operational administration work. On an annual basis the role will be split evenly between team leadership and operational work.
The firm has recently invested heavily in their support structure to ensure the best service is provided to the partners and to provide development opportunities for the support team, so it’s an exciting time to join the team. Working within this context this role will lead by example in promoting high quality output, efficiency, teamwork and continual improvement.
Duties will include:
  • Promoting and encouraging teamwork and collaboration
  • Supervise and manage the daily workflow and capacity of the team to ensure people are busy and supported if they have too little or too much work
  • Monitor the central mailbox and ensure work is being managed by the team
  • Build strong working relationships with the team and internal stakeholders
  • Providing consistent feedback and coaching to the team
  • Managing diverse administrative, organisational and document support to all practice areas in the office
About you:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role involving coaching and feedback, with prior experience working in an administration capacity
  • Experience in a professional services environment would be preferred
  • Ability to function in a collaborate environment with integrity, rapport and sensitivity
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage both team leadership and operational admin work simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability and eagerness to build strong relationships with staff
  • Professional, approachable and personal manner
  • Act as a role model to the team and promote teamwork
  • Resilient attitude and ability and experience working in a fast-paced practice
  • Ability to work autonomously and delegate work to juniors
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong capability and confidence with technology, especially Microsoft Office
