Job Description

Our client is a well respected wealth advisory practice based in the heart of Sydney CBD. Due to natural growth of the business and exciting plans for 2021 they have a need to grow their FP&A team with the newly created position of Financial Analyst.

FP&A team members are involved across budgeting / forecasting activities, providing meaningful information to management on the business and clients, managing analytics databases, helping with BAU reporting, month end and year end activities, project analysis, Capital management and cashflow etc.

The Role
  • Provide meaningful revenue and cost analysis that could be factored into the budget and forecast
  • Helping with the budget / forecast model updates and divisional reporting
  • Assisting with the budget packs and additional analysis required to support assumptions
  • Assist with Trust Distribution statement reconciliation and issuance and find ways to automate process
  • Assist with the dividend payment process and take full ownership of the process
  • Updating BAU models that is managed by the FP&A team and meeting deadlines
  • Assist with data mining and develop models that can be leveraged by the team
  • Assist manager with commercial & financial analysis on Adhoc projects
  • Process and control improvements to improve the Finance function
  • Support FP&A team with other BAU work
The Requirements 
  • Proven experience in a financial service and or exposure towards working with stack of raw data
  • Ability to dissect data and make them into meaningful information
  • Should be excellent in MS excel with knowledge on macros would be an added advantage
  • Exposure in Tableau would be an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position
  • Degree qualified with relevant accounting qualification
