Job Description

This large sophisticated investment firm has a rare opportunity for an experienced Analyst or Associate to join one of Australia's leading global infrastructure investment teams in Brisbane or Sydney on the buy side. 

With an interest in infrastructure you will work with clients and co-investors on investment matters including analysis, asset management initiatives, governance, structuring and asset management requirements. As the Associate you will be primarily responsible for complex financial modelling, analytical work and asset management assistance for current and new investment opportunities.  This includes macro / market and sector research and individual investment due diligence and monitoring. You will be required to have strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and critically analyse key business issues and strategy. You will be tasked with the preparation of structured business reports, interpretation of complex material and make decisions based on imperfect information. The portfolio team is required to managed and maintain client relationships as well as monitor sector, market and economic conditions and assess their impact on client infrastructure portfolios.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Commerce, Economics, Finance or similar and have a keen interest in the infrastructure, transport or related industries, and key trends. You will have advanced Excel and Modelling skills and be highly analytical. Your well established due diligence sills gained in professional services, investment banking (M&A coverage), project finance or another infrastructure fund investments role will be critical to your successes. The ideal candidate will have impeccable verbal and written skills that will support high level presentation capability.
