Job Description

The Role:
  • Our Utilities client based in Parramatta is on the lookout for a Business Analyst with experience in Logistics/Operations to work closely with their operations managers.
  • 6 Month Day Rate contract
Your Responsibilities:

Subcontractor Management Duties:

  • Work with the business SME and Procurement and Sub-Contractor stakeholders, in procurement and operations  to setup and test the sub-contractor portal in their new ERP.
  • Have a sound understanding of sub-contracting processes, integration and procurement
  • Work with the operations SME and business teams to assist with data gathering, automating data uploads and testing the sub-contractor portal.
  • Assist with testing and report development, associated with sub-contracting and the sub-contractor portal.
  • Test functional configuration and development logic, process flows and specifications and collaborate with the Logistics and SAP technical team to define the solution and test the end to end process.
  • Partner with business to assist in user acceptance testing.
Operations & Sales Reporting:
  • Work with business stakeholders, across operations and sales to translate reporting requirements into documented functional specifications and report designs. 
  • Develop reports, working closely with the SME’s and technical team and facilitate the initial testing, prior to hand-over to the testing team
  • Work with the operations SME and business teams to understand the KPI reporting requirements.
  • Analyse data sources for new and historical data and prepare users stories and functional specifications for each report.
  • A good technical understanding and SQL skills will be required to develop and test reports
  • Test functional configuration and development logic, process flows and specifications and collaborate with the Data Warehouse technical team to define the solution.
 

About You:
  • At least 5 years’ IT business analyst experience working closely with the business and functionally designing reports.
  • Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and the KPI metrics they need to report on, to effectively manage their business and translating requirements into reports and potentially dashboards
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
