Job Description

Global Financial Services organisation are looking for a Business Analyst to work on a number of technology and business initiatives. This role is a hybrid of Business Analysis and Project Coordination. You will have 3-5 years of effective Business Analysis, Requirements Management and Process Mapping combined with Project Coordination to enable successful delivery of projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Guidance of testers to ensure all testing is structured around agreed requirements
  • Identify and engage stakeholders, leading the requirement analysis process by facilitating collaboration and workshopping processes to elicit business/functional requirements
  • Own the coordination and communication of requirements across all stakeholder groups for the project
  • Lead the project team through the requirements analysis process, incorporating all identified stakeholders
  • Coordination of contractor business analysis resource to ensure timely and quality output in alignment with the established business analysis process
  • Understand business drivers and priorities to document prioritisation of requirements and recommend phasing options
  • Identify business opportunities through stakeholder engagement and relationship development
  • Own and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Performs investigational research and analysis/ evaluation to determine project, tool or application feasibility
  • Prepares feasibility studies; recommends and establishes consensus on program objectives, priorities and schedules in conjunction with user and functional requirements
  • Developing business requirements and functional specifications that design and document the desired outcome of system enhancement/development
  • Understand project scope and clearly document what is in scope and what is not in scope, taking ownership of scope on behalf of the project
  • Contribution to pre-launch “delivery” activities (e.g. FAQs for client facing teams, training documentation, briefings etc.)
  • Coordination of, and contribution to User Acceptance activity
  • Create Business Process maps for required business processes
  • Assist with ongoing resolution of operational issues and business queries
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with 4 years of experience in a business analyst role
  • Experienced in requirements gathering and conversing with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle
  • Experience in delivering web-based projects
  • Strong understanding of scope management and requirements prioritisation
  • Proven skills in confident communication, influencing and clear accurate documentation
  • Track-record in gaining the confidence of business stakeholders and building productive working relationships with key clients and technical teams
  • An appreciation of both IT and business strategy
