Job Description

The Role:
  • Our client is a globally recognised financial services organisation who are looking for someone with a broad knowledge of Middle Office operations to run testing programs for the offboarding client.
  • The role will lead and work with Internal and external teams to execute Business user acceptance testing and user acceptance testing for Middle Office Operations.
  • You will be joining the APAC delivery team who give asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions.
  • From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.
As a Middle Office Business Analyst / Test Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • End-to-End Business Process validation & test execution for offboarding Clients
  • Excellent business understanding of Process and data in Transaction Management, Recording Keeping, Corporate Actions, OTC derivatives, Performance & Analytics, Reconciliation, Reporting, Cash Management, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Single point of contact for all testing & validation activities for Client, Business Analyst Group, Operational readiness, Business Operations, IT & Configuration teams.
  • Provide ongoing test execution summary status & Metrics
  • Lead joint Triage Process during client Test execution Triage Investigation Requests, issue/defect assignments, tracking & follow-ups, provide status reports on various test issues/defects
  • Ability to track readiness for test execution, assess issues and escalate risks at the right time to stakeholders and senior management involved.
  • Collaborate with business leads and IT leads to define test requirements.
  • Analyze and document the business specifications for technical and functional changes, defining the required test approach for business specification documents.
  • Provide periodically and ad hoc status reporting to senior management and relevant PMOs
What you will bring to be successful:
  • Experience in the financial services industry or global consulting firm: preferably Middle Office / Back office business processing
  • Domain knowledge and be able to understand the various listed instrument types like Equities, Bonds, Futures, Options, etc.
  • Ability to work on large projects and prioritize work accordingly
  • Strong user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Microsoft Project
  • Effective organizational, decision making, and communication skills
  • Software development life cycle experience is a must
  • Support a culture of commitment, teamwork, productivity and hard work alongside diversity and work-life balance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 8+ years of financial industry experience across front-office functionality along with middle and back-office systems, services and data domains
  • Prior experience leading large scale client conversions and onboarding efforts in the financial industry
